Itinerary
Arrive in Srinagar and drive to Sonmarg, the beautiful gateway to Kashmir’s high-altitude treks. Rest, acclimatize, and enjoy a peaceful evening in this serene valley. Overnight stay in camps or guesthouse.
Start your trek along the Sindh River, gradually ascending through lush forests and open pastures. Cross several streams and reach Nichnai, a scenic camping spot below the pass. Camp overnight under starlit skies.
Today’s trek involves a thrilling climb to Nichnai Pass (13,500 ft). Enjoy panoramic views before descending into a lush valley leading to Vishansar Lake, a glacial gem surrounded by green slopes. Set up camp by the lake.
A short uphill trek brings you to Kishansar Lake, lying close to Vishansar. Both lakes mirror the snow-clad peaks and offer a photographer’s paradise. Explore the meadows, take photos, and enjoy a peaceful day at leisure.
Retrace your steps back down to Sonmarg, enjoying the changing perspectives of the landscape. Reach Sonmarg by late afternoon and rest at the base camp. Optional overnight stay or return to Srinagar.
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar. You can either continue your holiday in Kashmir or depart from the airport with beautiful memories of the alpine adventure
