Itinerary
Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After check-in, take time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Leh. Visit the historic Leh Palace, enjoy panoramic views from Shanti Stupa, and explore the vibrant Leh Market. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Nubra Valley, passing through the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Stop at Rinchen Café for a warm bowl of Maggi and a cup of chai. Upon reaching Nubra Valley, visit the Diskit Monastery and marvel at the Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, enjoy an exciting ATV ride on the Hunder Sand Dunes. Check-in at your campsite for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, continue your journey to Pangong Lake, renowned for its changing shades of blue. Enjoy the stunning landscape and the serene beauty of the lake. After spending some time by the lake, head back to Leh via Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Stop at the Chang La Baba Temple for a peaceful visit, then continue to the famous Thiksey Monastery and the Druk Padma Karpo School, known for its appearance in the film 3 Idiots. Return to your hotel in Leh for an overnight stay.
Start your day with a scenic drive to Pangong Lake. The route takes you through beautiful Ladakhi villages and rugged terrains. Upon reaching Pangong Tso, check into your campsite and relax by the lake. Take a leisurely walk along the shore and enjoy the ever-changing hues of the lake, from blue to turquoise. Spend the evening enjoying the peaceful surroundings before retiring for an overnight stay at the campsite.
After breakfast, head back to Leh, enjoying the stunning views along the way. Stop at Magnetic Hill, known for its gravity-defying illusion, and visit Sangam Point to witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. On the way back, stop at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine. Arrive in Leh and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Spend the day exploring more of Leh at your own pace. You can visit any of the nearby monasteries, including Hemis Monastery, or relax and shop at the local markets for souvenirs. You can also visit Shanti Stupa to enjoy more panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ladakhi dinner at your hotel.
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and head to Leh Airport for your return flight. Bid farewell to Ladakh, taking with you memories of this incredible journey.
